Industrial infrastructure automation
Mimetik has recognised an unmatched demand in the job market. Very often it is reasoned with an insufficient number of qualified job candidates. We selected a niche area where we can improve the situation. In accordance with [1], 67% of EU states declared a severe shortage of industrial machinery mechanics. This job position is typical for assembly operations in producing industries such as mechanical and electrical machine production, automotive, etc. There are more than 11 Million workers at similar positions worldwide. The education/experience requirement for such a position is typically high, severely reducing the number of job candidates. The requirement has been set high historically to increase product quality (80% of quality defects in manufacturing are still happening due to human errors [2]). However, 84% of mistakes are not due to the missing experience [3]. They happen due to stress, tiredness, and anxiety leading to temporary loss of attention. Indeed, it is very human to make mistakes in such jobs.
The possibility to detect the mistakes real-time allows them to act in the cause of mistakes in real-time as well. Usually, this saves the value-adding time of workers, reduces material wastage, and prevents product damages.
Mimetik aims to support workers in assembly operations. Mimetik developed digital quality checks to be used where human nature fails. Mimetik solutions act as a personal assistant to every worker keeping private data strictly confidential. Alongside, Mimetik aims to increase the efficiency of the workplace by 5-25%, to detect 95% of human mistakes, and to support training with a digital solution.
