Alliance for IoT and Edge Computing Innovation - AIOTI

AIOTI organises its efforts through Working Groups, Focus Groups, and Task Forces. Horizontal Working Groups address areas applicable across all sectors, while Vertical Working Groups focus on domain-specific areas. Within Working Groups, Focus Groups tackle more specific topics relevant to the group's domain. Task Forces handle topics not covered by either the Working Groups or Focus Groups. All these work groups tackle the deployment of cloud, edge and IoT technologies through 5/6G applications across various vertical sectors, such as mobility, manufacturing, agriculture, energy and healthcare. AIOTI also supports the SCoDIHNet initiative and the 6G Smart Networks and Services Industry Association (6G-IA). This initiative aids Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs) in offering services related to 5G/6G, IoT, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. These technologies are crucial for advancing the digitalisation of the European industry, ensuring flexibility, adaptability, and comprehensive security. SCoDIHNet comprises 71 members from 18 European countries. It provides industry support across various verticals to develop digital services requiring smart connectivity technologies. Experiments in these domains are expected at the DIH level. Its main activities include mapping technology providers with DIHs at the local level. A catalogue of Smart Connectivity technology providers from European clusters (AIOTI, NetworldEurope, 6G-IA) has been created and mapped to highlight relevant stakeholders for DIHs to be involved in developing innovations. Additionally, AIOTI's Replicability and Scalability initiative supports IoT and Edge Computing R&I projects, offering tools and guidelines to assess and foster the replicability and scalability of project results. The catalogue includes over 130 use cases/solutions from AIOTI LSP and 5G PPP projects and more than 1000 enablers from Next Generation Internet projects.
