Inline Quality Assurance for Machining (Manufacturing Vertical)
A programmable logic controller (PLC) of a milling machine is connected to a remote station which is located in an edge cloud for condition monitoring. The connection is established through 5G enabling an inline quality control which monitors whether important process parameters are within pre-defined tolerances. In this way, the milling process can be monitored employing the edge cloud.
