NATWORK

IoT security

The large-scale deployment of IoT devices in 6G networks presents significant security challenges, including the risk of distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, data breaches, and unauthorised access. Ensuring the security and privacy of IoT devices and their data in 6G networks will require advanced threat detection and mitigation mechanisms. Due to the limited computational capabilities, most IoT devices cannot be extended with advanced security solutions. In these cases, the network infrastructure must provide this extra layer of functionality seamlessly.

NATWORK will address the challenges of securing the Internet of Things (IoT) against DDoS attacks. The project will develop AI-based intrusion detection systems (IDS) and penetration testing (pen-test) tools to detect and prevent attacks on IoT devices. The massive number of IoT devices expected to be deployed in 6G networks presents significant security challenges, including the risk of distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, data breaches, and unauthorised access. This use case will focus on enhancing the security and privacy of IoT devices and their data in 6G networks, developing advanced threat detection and mitigation mechanisms to prevent security breaches and ensure data integrity.
