Industrial infrastructure automation

use case image

The SCANNER project aims to revolutionise the inspection of industrial components using advanced technology. It will create high-precision digital twins of parts through robotic scanning. These digital copies will be used in a collaborative XR (extended reality) environment, allowing experts to remotely inspect and analyse wear and tear of components with exceptional detail and measurement tools. This approach seeks to make inspections more objective, transparent, and automated. By leveraging 5G networks, SCANNER aims for low-latency and high-quality visualisation for seamless remote collaboration between design, production, and maintenance teams. This will lead to better communication, reduced costs, and improved quality assurance in Industry 4.0.
