IMAGINE-B5G

Improved localisation mechanisms for transportation and logistics

use case image

The project ADS-5G aims to enhance localisation accuracy and ensure continuous positioning by combining 5G and GNSS positioning. The experiment will involve a YouShip autonomous delivery robot (ADR) delivering small packages across indoor and outdoor routes within the Altice Labs campus, addressing transportation and logistics challenges.

The project addresses challenges in autonomous delivery robots by enhancing GNSS positioning with 5G technology, tackling issues like signal obstructions and outages. Integrating 5G with GNSS and SLAM provides a robust solution for improving localisation accuracy and reliability, essential for autonomous systems.
