Firefighting and Forest surveillance
The 5G-FIRE project aims to enhance firefighting operations by integrating 5G into its existing CamIA fire detection and alert case. CamIA will be upgraded with 5G capabilities to enable fast, low-latency video streaming and remote control of cameras. This will allow firefighters to zoom and adjust cameras in real time, improving decision-making and response times during crises. The project also explores new opportunities through 5G APIs developed by EURECOM, making 5G-FIRE a scalable solution for disaster management and public safety.
