In the first use case, high-tech autonomous drones, equipped with state-of-the-art cameras and 5G communication capabilities, carried out comprehensive surveillance of access points, capturing real-time video images of the entrance facilities. Thanks to XRFactory’s XR platform, XRSandBox, the live feed was seamlessly delivered to authorized users, equipped with XR devices such as augmented reality glasses. This immersive experience allowed operators to remotely view and interact with the video feeds, facilitating quick decisions and optimizing response times. Additionally, XRSandBox enabled remote control of the drones.

In the second use case, the project focused on surveillance of restricted areas within the port. Existing CCTV cameras, integrated with advanced artificial intelligence (AI)-based video analytics developed by XRFactory, detected unauthorized access by people and vehicles in real-time. Upon detection, drones were immediately deployed to track and monitor the intruders, streaming live video directly to the Port Operations Centre using XR devices. This efficient integration of drones, video analytics, and XR infrastructure ensured rapid responses to security breaches and enabled timely interventions.
