IMAGINE-B5G

LEOSED, which stands for Leveraging Edge Optical Sensing for Emergency Diagnostics, is a vertical experiment open call partner of the Imagine B5G project at the Norway facility.

Our goal is testing the B5G systems for supporting the healthcare vertical in applying optical wireless sensing of pulse and blood oxygen saturation. In this, LEOSED’s mission is to design a B5G system that allows the automation of care without dramatically increasing the cost per intelligent sensing device by integrating the sensing within the potential future 6G infrastructure. To achieve this, we disassociate the sensing from the processing: to reduce the dependency on energy and hardware for each sensor and evolve towards the B5G/6G network sensing paradigm for remote care.
