5G Media Action Group - 5G-MAG

5G Media Action Group (5G-MAG) fosters collaboration between the media and ICT (information and communication technology) industries. A core objective is to drive the market-oriented implementation of solutions for the connected media world, leveraging global Internet and 5G access technologies.

The work spans from the conception of use cases, services and applications up to the implementation of proofs-of-concept and products.

Stakeholders in the end-to-end value chain are welcome such as content and service providers, network operators, technology solution suppliers, software developers, equipment manufacturers, R&D organisations, universities, regulators or policymakers.

5G-MAG is an independent not-for-profit association with its own legal identity, funding, governance, and administrative rules.

Vertical engagement

5G-MAG is currently focusing on the application of 5G for applications and services in the domain of content creation, production, distribution and consumption. 5G-MAG is also a 3GPP Market Representative Partner (MRP) with the ability to offer market advice to 3GPP and to bring to 3GPP a consensus view of market requirements (e.g., services, features and functionality) falling within the 3GPP scope.
